Assessing the Concordance of Arterial Oxygen Saturation and Pulse Oximetry in Patients with and Without COVID-19 Hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit

Background: As the blood oxygen level in patients with COVID-19, who show no symptoms despite highly insufficient of blood, physician should thus be constantly aware saturation and check it. Objectives: This study was conducted aim assessing concordance arterial (SaO2) pulse oximetry (SpO2) without COVID-19 hospitalized intensive care unit (ICU). Methods: In this cross-sectional descriptive-analytical study, all ICU Imam Khomeini Golestan hospitals Kermanshah city during 6 months year 2020 were studied. Patients' oxygenation index calculated (with COVID-19) using two variables, i.e., SpO2 gained from SaO2 derived gas analysis. Conclusions: is good agreement saturations by measurement methods, COVID-19. However, not proper method to measure can an acceptable stable conditions body.
